Contract pilot pay rates

Its funny because many pilots and flight attendants on our site loose site of what makes our system so nice. We built Flycontract.com for to solve a problem for employers. The problem was that employers could not find contract pilots or flight attendants on short notice. Our system allows employers to search quickly and view important details about each member. The profile information is needed because employers need the information in order to figure out who they can use for their flight. Items such as training, resume, pay rate, image, and flight hours are all very important to an employer. Some of our members feel the pay rates should not be listed but the employers want it listed. The reason they need it is that they do not want to call 10 pilots looking for someone who fits their budget. Its shopping!

The employer contacted several flight attendants on our web site www.Flycontract.com and they found the flight attendant they needed! Its great to see the system work so fast for everyone. The site was built for days like today!

Corporate pilot jobs show increase

We have seen a steady increase of corporate pilots jobs here at Flycontract.com over the past two months. Several staffing companies have increased their hiring through our web site and many private employers have found pilots on the site. We had one job that was brought to our attention. A G-V pilot job in the EU was awarded to a pilot on Flycontract.com. The pilot even took the time to call us and thank us for having a site like this because the job was full time and the company provide him with a nice rotation so that he could return to the states to visit family often.

pilot job board

It sure looks like the aviation industry is on its way back! We have had about 10 job postings in the past two weeks. Normally people do not post jobs on our system because its made so that employers can just contact the pilots directly. Many pilots and flight attendants do not understand that fact. Employers who visit our site get to browse the directory and contact who they like. We here at flycontract.com do not get involved into jobs.

Working with flight training facilities

At Flycontract.com we have reached out to pilot training companies in hopes of getting these companies to work with contract pilots more. The goal would be to get the training companies to give discounts to contract pilots because these pilots pay for their own training. It would also be a good deal if contract pilots could fill open positions with short notice. Those are just a few items we are working on to help our members.

Flight attendant jobs

Its been several months since we rebuilt Flycontract.com and we have seen a huge increase in the amount of flight attendant jobs. Not only has there been an increase of jobs but we have also seen an increase of new flight attendants calling looking for flight attendant training facilities. We direct them to good schools and we also give them some good advice. We always recommend that they get training first before trying to get a job. It also nice to send business to FlightSafety and Beyond & Above flight attendant training schools as they support our goals.

Falcon 2000 Pilot Job

Today we helped an employer find a falcon 2000 pilot for a trip to Canada. It only took us about 1 hr to help them find the pilot who accepted their flight and everyone was happy. We also upgraded several areas of Flycontract.com today. We made it so that members can pay their membership dues via paypal and we upgraded the resume uploader.

Its nice to know people get it!

This week has been pretty nice. Several people from flycontract.com (pilot and flight attendants) have called in to speak with us. They all seemed to enjoy the new updates we have installed and they also commented to us about the pilot jobs and corporate flight attendant jobs they have received. Hearing feedback like that is what its all about. Not everyone has a perfect story but atleast people get jobs. Its funny though, one flight attendant got two different trips from our site yet she feels its not worth paying $98 a year? Its funny because she made over $5000 on those two trips yet she feels the site is not worth the $98. So lets just call her crazy!

The new Flycontract.com is live!

Its been over three years since we first launched Flycontract.com and we have now built a brand new version of the site. This new site will make the system easier to upgrade and more flexible for the users. It also adds some new features such as PRO membership levels and better image uploaders. The site is not a huge money maker for us but it sure helps many employers, pilots, and flight attendants with jobs. We enjoy seeing people get a job or a contract flight. Of course with any site or service not everyone can get a job and every now and then someone gets mad because they did not land their dream job from the site. We make it very clear on the site that we can not 100% promise people jobs and that the employers choose who they want, however some of the pilots still think we have something to do with who gets hired. Those crazy pilots!
